Last year Cressey, a Vancouver based development company had purchased the parcel of land where The Ridge theatre currently is situated. The plans were to demolish and rebuild on top of a 22,000 sqft grocery store (likely to be a new Meinhardts), but the height restrictions and additional parking space to be built doesn't make sense.
